I needed a nice breaking glass sound but none were quite punchy enough so i grabbed a few from here, comped them, eq'd them and panned them nicely. Here is the result. Hope somebody else finds it useful.
It's a weird small automaton that looks like a jester or a kind of clown. When the key is wound up, he plays this strange music box and rotate his head. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

A montain bike breaking on concrete. Recorded with a pentax k5 and an audio technica pro 24-cm stereo microphone at 16bit/32khz. Slightly edited in audacity in order to reduce major peaks (by hand, no plugin) and to improve the headroom.
